When  Coby Kyros 7-Inch Tablet arrived I was truly impressed on the dimension and the overall appearance of the tablet. It is extremely well introduced in the box. Comes with all the necessary cables, a protective traveling case and even headphones. What I found actually lovable was that once I turned it on it resembled a massive Motorola Droid cellphone! It even had the unlock “slide” key feature like the Droid cellphone has. Now don’t get too excited, this by no indicates is 100% like a Droid.

The picture resolution is NOT the greatest, but it is not bad contemplating what I paid for it. The touch screen capabilities has troubles. Sometimes I found myself pounding on it instead of lightly tapping with the tip of my fingertip. I calibrated the touch screen and that seemed to assist some. It does not use the Android Market, instead something called AppsLib marketplace. It was very easy to setup an account.

I really checked out their website first before I purchased the Coby Kyros 7-Inch Tablet to make sure they provided a variety of apps. There are plenty of Free applications. You can also connect your account to your PayPal account to pay for apps.

One extremely great feature about this is that you can have a pin code and rating limit so your kids can not purchase something without knowing the pin. They can not download games that are a particular content rating neither. Internet use was a little bit frustrating. This could be because I am so use to the way I get around with my iPad tablet.

Obtaining connected to my home Wi-Fi network was really simple. This is one place I do give this  Coby Kyros 7-Inch Tablet a thumbs up is for the settings menu. If you are acquainted with the settings menu with the Android mobilephones, then you will have no troubles getting around the settings with this tablet. The connection speed is not lightning speed fast, but it will load.

Going to a previous page is not a simple task – still attempting to comprehend this simple task since it has to be done with pushing buttons and the touch screen. I just closed the window and started again. I reckon my son will figure it out on his own.
